📚 Book Fair Recap 📚
Thank you to everyone who supported our online Scholastic Book Fair! We had $533 in sales, and earned 25% back to support our library!!
🚌 Bookmobile 🚌
Sadly, the bookmobile is currently on pause due to rising Covid metrics in our area. We really hope that it will be safe enough for us to start up the bookmobile again soon.
In the meantime, I want to celebrate our amazing Spaulding readers who visited the bookmobile! In the time the bookmobile was running (mid-September through mid-November) we had over 1,200 books checked out by students!! That is truly incredible! I am so grateful for the wonderful support that the bookmobile has received, and it is fantastic that so many families have been able to share the love of reading because of the bookmobile.
Here are some more exciting statistics by grade level:
PreK students checked out 24 books!
Kindergarteners checked out 445 books!
1st graders checked out 345 books!
2nd graders checked out 404 books!
Again, thank you so much for your support of the bookmobile, and I hope we will be able to start up again soon!
If you have questions about the bookmobile or would like to suggest a future stop on our route, please email Ms. Isbell.

This month in the library...
This month, students listened to the Monarch Award nominee How to Give Your Cat a Bath in Five Easy Steps by Nicola Winstanley. There are only five easy steps, how hard can it be?? However, as some students quickly pointed out, cats do not like water. The poor girl in the story tries her hardest to follow the steps, but Mr. Flea the cat just will not take a bath! We really enjoyed this silly book, and we are looking forward to reading more Monarch books in the next few months. We'll vote for our favorite book in late February or early March, and see which book wins the Monarch Award! |
